of the company's fastest-growing
sales vehicles. It is part of the Macy's,
Inc. direct-to-consumer business,
along with bloomingdales.com,
national online wedding gift
registries, and fulfillment of
telephone orders, which generated
more than $900 million in sales in
2008. Macy's customers increasingly
shop multichannel, both online and
in-store and the interaction between
the two is powerful. Macys.com is
much more than an e-commerce site;
it's the online hub for the Macy's
brand. Customers can shop for their
favorite merchandise, submit product
reviews, use "Find It In Store" to
determine local product availability,
access their accounts, find store
locations, see catalogs and TV ads,
apply for a job and discover special
store events. Macys.com attracts
about 1 million visitors every day,
about 400 million visitors a year.
